Es war, wie soft, der "Zufall" oder die Synchronizität, die dieses alte indianische Symbol in das T.A.Frauenhaus Projekt als Bildinhalt eintreten ließ.
Das Frauenhaus Projekt ist die 39. Handlung in der Werkchronologie meiner T.A. Projekte. Dieses Symbol zeigte sich mir auf der Seite 39 im Buch der Hopi, von Frank Waters, als "Goldfund" und forderte mich zum "Goldraub" auf.
"Das Symbol ist allgemein als Tapuat, Mutter und Kind, bekannt. Der quadratische Typ stellt die geistige Wiedergeburt von einer Welt zur nachfolgenden dar, wie sie durch den Aufstieg selbst symbolisiert wird. In dieser Zeichnung ist die gerade Linie, die aus dem Eingang herauskommt, nicht mit dem Labyrinth verbunden. Ihre beiden Enden bezeichnen die zwei Stufen des Lebens - das ungeborene Kind im Schoß der Mutter Erde und das Kind, nachdem es geboren ist. Die Linie selbst symbolisiert die Nabelschnur und den Pfad des Aufstiegs. Dreht man die Zeichnung so, daß diese Linie senkrecht steht, das freie Ende oben, dann sieht man, daß das untere Ende der Linie von einem U-förmigen Arm des Labyrinths umschlungen wird. Die inneren Linien stellen die Eihäute dar, die das Kind im Mutterschoß umhüllen und die äußeren Linien die Mutterarme, die es später halten."

"The symbol is commonly known as Tapuat (Mother and Child). The square type represents spiritual rebirth from one world to the suceeding one, as symbolized by the Emergence itself. In this drawing the straight line emerging from the entrance is not connected with the maze. Its two ends symbolize the two stages of life - the unborn child within the womb of Mother Earth and the child after it is born, the line symbolizing the umbilical cord and the path of Emergence. Turing the drawing so that the line stands vertical, at the top of the page, you will see that the lower end is embraced by the U-sharped arm of the maze. The inside lines represent the fetal membranes which enfold the child within the womb, and the outside lines the mother's arms which hold it later."
